Family lawyer Giovanna Schillaci Passauer is an associate at Carter Morris, LLP. A native Houstonian, Giovanna graduated from St. Agnes Academy and earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Giovanna moved back to Houston and attended South Texas College of Law Houston where she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2014. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2014.

During law school, Giovanna interned at the Office of the Attorney General Child Support Division and various family law firms in the Houston area. Additionally, she worked at the South Texas College of Law Houston Family Law Clinic where she began representing clients in divorce and child custody matters.

After being admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2014, Giovanna began working at Carter Morris, LLP where she represents clients in divorce, custody, and paternity cases.  Giovanna is compassionate in her representation of clients and committed to guiding them through their family law experience in a way that protects them both emotionally and financially.

Giovanna attended the 2017 summer program at The Hague Academy of International Law in The Hague, Netherlands, which was comprised of a general course and various special courses including courses on international family law. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Giovanna lives in Houston with her husband and son. She enjoys reading, running, and spending time with family.
